I know, but Ive put a lot into their industrial culture, plus a contact RP with a primitive race could be interesting.

Yeah, I guess I DA group would be better for now. It'd also help make the foundations of the webcomic.

Agreed to the maximum

But you guys need to get me to the space age  Embarrassed

I think we should do both a webcomic and a dA group.

But, yeah, although this was a pretty awesome attempt to salvage the GSU, it was bound to fail. Its prominent, working members were reaching decline, and the only new members were short lived. I think it will take quite a push to save this.

What? It's not that big, plus, good to see this project back, I was thinking we weren't gonna get our big evil race of tired old men Grin

What about coulouring a pencil piece?
8  The Lounge / General Kosmosis / Re: Languages on: January 24, 2012, 05:13:35 pm
Interesting stuff ovi.

In other news, I've finally put away the apostrophe. They are kinda useless and they make typing difficult, plus that they are incredible clichéd. And even if they were pronunciation guides, I can always just tell you how to say it
I have also renamed the planet Okasa, because sa=land. Oka=the species/people. Land of the people.
9  The Galactic Codex / The Civilization Codex / Re: O'ka on: January 23, 2012, 05:31:09 pm
I am deciding to "modernize" the Oka. Before, the Brundus where comparable to various 15th and 16th western cultures, but now I am thinking more Industrial Revolution. This will allow me to expand on a more complex culture, and more alien technologies.
I hope to meet you in the space race soon  Wink

Edit: I am afraid you will have to wait 1000 years until I even launch the first Oka in Space. So probably not "soon"

How many people here would actually draw a full piece and post here for nothing at all?

May I please remind you that this is a history topic not a language topic. You can find a language topic in general kosmosis thank you. Same goes for my civilisation thread.
14  The Lounge / General Kosmosis / Re: Languages on: January 19, 2012, 07:21:11 pm
you know there a reason i made this thread. i know the topics you are discussing are interesting and useful but could you please post them here instead of cluttering up my topics?
15  The Lounge / General Kosmosis / Languages on: January 16, 2012, 10:14:12 am
So, how do you design your languages? Do you make up random words for stuff, or is it a more specialized process?
Currently my language is based on derivation. That is, you have a few base words and lots of more complex words made up of those words.
eg: My earlier example of Turoovinfa (Brundus for demon) is formed of Turo which means being/entity, o which means life, vin, evil and fa, sacred (though the meaning of that, as is the meaning of life, very abstract. In the case of this word, it means more as magic or supernatural.)
I have currently 76 words in my vocabulary, but that's obviously growing by the day.

What's yours like?
